Is Your Business Maxed Out?

When you started your business what did you have in mind? Was it to open a computer business that would offer services like virus removal and spyware removal? Was the idea to just have lower prices then other big box companies around? Was it that you just thought to yourself why not?
Well anyone that starts a business I’m sure has their reasons for doing such. But, now that you have your business up and running you have to decide just what exactly your business is going to offer. There are the typical things like:

Those are pretty much the normal shop will do each and every other day.  I always envisioned opening a computer repair business and doing more than just the normal. I did not want to offer exactly what others offer in their business model. I wanted our business to be a “full IT service company” that could do it all.

With that in mind we offered things like:

Pretty much anything you can think of we can provide that service for. In this industry you are going to have to do more than just the normal to survive the long haul. Not saying you can’t survive doing just the “norm” but you will not reach full potential by doing just that.

Sit down and look at your business model and decide what exactly you can offer and provide that will set you apart.

I totally agree with you Dan. In my business I am also trying to incorporate new things that will set us apart from the competition. We also have a mixture of computer repairs with graphic design services including photography.
